Excellent illustrations - very true to life. A typical story of student life in Xinjiang. I found the pictures were very similar to homes I had visited. Best for teens but maybe not suitable for very young children.
» Vida Wolter - April 7, 2006:
I read this book to two young children I care for each week. They are ages four and five. Both of them loved the story and were full of questions about each picture. When I finished, they immediately wanted me to read it again. Admittedly, they are both bright children who love to have stories read to them. The oldest is beginning to read. They come from a Christian home.
