One-sentence summary

This book for children, helps explain the unknowns of Heaven.

Description

It is not easy to explain the unknowns of Heaven to a child. In this book Someday Heaven , the author gives simple answers to difficult questions.

The book gives biblically-based answers to questions that are not easy to explain to a young child. The art work helps explain the answers. The Bible makes it clear that God wants to welcome us to His forever home (Heaven).

The subjects are:

  • Where is Heaven? Psalm 33:13-14
  • How do I get to Heaven? John 14:6
  • How long does it take to get to Heaven? Luke 23:43
  • Who lives in Heaven? Jeremiah 33:3
  • How long will I be in Heaven? Matthew 28:20
  • Will it always be light in Heaven? Psalm 119:105
  • Will anyone meet me when I get to Heaven?
  • Will there be other children in Heaven? Mark 10:14
  • Will I be an angel when I get to Heaven?
  • Will I need money in Heaven? Matthew 6:20-21
  • Will I ever be sad in Heaven? Psalm 30:5
  • Will my grandpa still be old in Heaven?
  • Will my pets go to Heaven?
  • How can I know for sure that I'm going to Heaven? John 5:24

Considerations

  • Written for children 4-8 years old.
  • Bible verses are included for most of the subjects.
  • The hardback book has 30 pages.
  • Each question (subject) has one page of writing with a colored picture on the opposite page.

Limitations

  • With some exceptions the text is useful to explain about Heaven.
  • The colored pictures show children from the United States of America, Canada, and Europe.
  • Children in minority cultures will have difficulty in relating to the pictures. These could be replaced by culturally appropriate ones.
  • Some of the pictures show only parts of people or scenes. These will need to be explained to children who are not picture literate.
  • The pictures for Who lives in Heaven? and How long will I be in Heaven?, will be meaningless to children who do not use printed words to communicate, or clocks for telling time.

Guidelines for Use

  • In schools, Sunday schools, Bible camps and clubs.
  • On Christian radio programs.
  • As an audio book.
