Description

These five lessons teach about the three-year ministry of Jesus:

• healing of a paralyzed man
• calming of a storm
• talking with the Samaritan woman
• healing the centurion's servant
• Answering a lawyer's question

Children serve God:

• meeting a friend's need
• praying for God's peace
• telling others about Jesus
• trusting God's promises
• showing God's love to others

Each lesson includes a one-page outline including:

• Main Bible verses used in the lesson
• One Bible verse to remember
• Purpose
• Central theme
• An important truth that relates to the life of the child
  • For those who have decided to become a believer in Jesus
  • For those who have not yet made that decision.

Considerations

• For children 5 - 12 years old.
• Sidebar suggestions and learning activities are for use with preschoolers.
• The pictures show people with brown skin rather than white skin.

Limitations

• Each lesson has review games and learning activities which may not be useful in other cultures.
• Some of the pictures show parts of the people or scenes. These will need to be explained to children who are not picture literate.
• A few flip-chart are written in large print and expect that children can read and write.

Guidelines for Use

• Translate the text and record on audio book or CD. Use the translated text with the flip-chart pictures.
• In Sunday schools, Bible classes, 5-Day Clubs, Bible Schools, Bible camps.
