Interactive Video Bible Studies combine videos with hard-copy lessons.
Description
Interactive Bible Studies are discipleship tools to encourage the in-depth study of the Gospels. They consist of DVDs that have a menu segmented to match scenes from the Luke video with the lessons found in the Luke Study Questions. The latter is provided in 8-1/2" x 11" hard-copy form. There is also a choice to watch the Luke Video straight through.
The videos are based on word-for-word dramatizations of Luke, John and Acts.
The accompanying Bible studies target those who have limited education and comprehension skills.
The following studies are currently available:
- Gospel of John (English, Spanish)
- Gospel of Luke (English, Q'eqchi' Mayan)
- Acts (English)
The following studies will be available in Summer 2009:
- Gospel of Luke (Spanish)
- Acts (Spanish, Q'eqchi' Mayan)
Considerations
- The lessons require a leader who is literate.
- Each lesson is designed to last one and a half hours.
- Assuming some degree of knowledge of the language used, each participant will be able to understand the lesson, regardless of their reading and comprehension skills.
Limitations
Guidelines for Use
- The studies include a series of questions, lectures, and commentaries that a facilitator can use to encourage class interaction after showing a chapter on the provided DVD.
