Age-level booklets offer children the Christian message.
Description
The Book of Hope is available in four versions. Each version offers the Christian message of hope and salvation for a special age group. The different versions all use the four gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) to tell the story of the life of Jesus.
Lower Primary Edition (ages 6-10)
The booklet for lower primary students would do well as a flash card presentation. It uses the same five colors as the Wordless Book. The colors are gold, black, red, white and green. There are pages of explanations and suggested activities for each color. Gold is for God. (3 pages)

Animation Edition (Upper Primary) (ages 11-14)
This edition of the Book of Hope begins with an introduction to Tye, the twelve year old boy who serves as guide in the booklet. The topics for each chapter are from Scripture. Colored slides from a filmstrip called The God Man are also included. The chapter titles are:

Considerations
- These booklets have been given free, to more than 180 million children
around the world.
- In 1986 the nation of El Salvador (Central America) asked for the Scriptures
for every school child.
- In many countries, Book of Hope is taken into public school classrooms and
and given to each child.
- The pictures show children from different ethnic groups. They are dressed
in western-style clothing in the English language edition.
- Some of the activities are not culturally appropriate in some language
groups.
- The maze activity is impossible to complete and is useless!
- The game would be useable and fun in any language group.
- The colors may not be culturally useable for some language groups.
- Some of the illustrations show only portions of bodies.
- Some pictures show things in an unusual manner. An example: Seeing
something the way a bird in flight would see it.
- Some of the filmstrip pictures only represent an object or person and may be
difficult for children to understand.
- Some of the activity questions relate only to western children. They will be
meaningless in some language groups unless they are changed to fit the culture.
