Internal notes:

Case History The second project, Ruth, is from S4C, the BBC affiliate in Wales. It is part of a series of 9 videos of Old Testament characters/stories. You may recall I showed an English version of Ruth at VMS training in the fall of 1999. It took us quite a while to get the rights to do this project. In the end, they asked for a 1,000 British pound advance on 15% of the retail sales.

Technically it was much easier because it is animated. S4C does not do any of the technical stuff. They only supply a BETA-SP master (PAL) with a separate M&E track. We digitized our own AVI file just from the VHS sample copy they gave us. After we recorded the whole thing, I exported the voice track to a wave file on a CD. I then took the CD & the master to a local video studio. They mixed the voice track and the M&E and put it on a master for around $200 US.
