Description

Each devotion includes facts about animals, and relates to the children's life. It also has a learning activity.

Every story in Bible Animal Tales tells about at least one animal. The word "animal" means all living creatures except people. These stories explain the relationship of people to God, not to animals.

This book helps children know the Bible better. It encourages them to believe in Jesus and obey His teachings. The book ends with God's Wonderful Plan of Salvation These pages are mentioned throoughout the book. This helps children who want to believe in Jesus.

The book is an opposite view from the worldview that many children are taught. The author challenges the theory of evolution. She teaches the biblical creation view point. Although all the stories tell about an animal but the plan of each story is to teach a Biblical view of life or how to become a believer in Jesus.has been written as an alternative to the predominant secular worldview that many children are taught.

From Genesis through Revelation, Bible Animal Tales teaches the Biblical view of sin, salvation, and how to live a life that pleases God. The stories are told simply but give details and facts about the featured animal. Adults can also enjoy the information and stories in this book.

Considerations

  • The Bible stories are in chronological order, which helps children understand Bible history.
  • The section titled 'animal facts' gives general information about specific animals. It tells about the animals that lived in Bible times.
  • The section “How This Animal Tale Can Help You” shows children how to use Bible truths in their their own lives.
  • The paperback book has 335 pages.
  • The book has 50 chapters, which is almost an entire year of weekly devotions.
  • Answers to the Puzzles in the learning activity section are given at the end of the book.

Limitations

  • The learning activities are all based on the American English language. If these can not be adapted to other cultures, they could be eliminated from future translations.
  • Some stories are related to western culture but could be adapted for any culture.
  • The final two chapters based on Revelation are pre-millenial in outlook without letting children know that there are other interpretations. These chapters could be adapted to explain other viewpoints.
  • The black and white drawings are in cartoon form. These may not be meaningful in some cultures.

  • As an audio book or CD.
  • A resource for teachers in schools or Christian schools.Useful for class devotions or for religious instruction. Useful for teaching zoology from a creationist viewpoint.
  • Useful in Sunday Schools and Bible clubs.
